Wakulla Springs Restoration Gets a Kick Start: State to spend $7.8 million

Gov. Rick Scott and the water management districts have agreed on how to spend $50 million statewide on springs protection. The iconic Wakulla Springs, used as the backdrop for Tarzan movies and The Creature  from the Black Lagoon is in line for nearly $8 million. White House Boys want paid for beatings and sexual assaults

The White House Boys were not among the 34 claims bills filed Tuesday by lawmakers for the 2018 legislative session. Instead, a general bill will be filed in both the House and Senate to pay the now elderly men for the brutal abuse they endured as teens while held in state custody at a Marianna reform school.  Story and videos are here.
